The ABC’s of Spiritual Enlightenment

Last week we spoke about spiritual journeys. We discussed how is journey is different, because no two people have the same experiences or path. To help you expand your thinking, I’ve started with the basic ABCs. Here are some words you can incorporate into your life. I thought about what the first few things we learn as children. Do you remember learning A is for apple, B is for Bee, C is for Cat and so on? Below are words using the alphabet for words that are associated with growth and enlightenment. I’ll discuss them later in the blog. Let’s start at the very beginning, A:

Above is a list of things to think, study, pray and mediate about. Which of these words speak to you? Start with those. Think of them as an ongoing solution to your path. Here is an example of what that thought process/intention may look.

I am searching for answers to the path I am on. I will look for the abundance within myself and the world around me. I will invite the angels and God to help me. I will place boundaries in order to find balance and clarity. I will show compassion to the world around me and be dedicated to being compassionate with myself. Through my faith and forgiveness my energy will grow with the guidance God will give me, and I will be grateful for all things, large and small. I will strive to be hopeful in knowing my higher self awaits to reconnect with the earthy version of myself through my inner journey, journaling and trusting my intuition. I will see joy, share kindness and love; for this is my life to live, listen and grow. Through quiet times of meditation, I will ask for meaning and miracles. I will be open to a nonphysical, nonmaterial path that is filled with peace and prayer. I will look into different philosophies and question with respect to the realm of spirit, in order to find my purpose at this time. I am in search of my truth and will study spirituality and I will learn to trust what is unfolding as I gain a better understanding. Even when my eyes are closed I will Invision wisdom from doing a few extra things each day whether it is yoga, meditation, prayer or just being still. I will continue find my Zen and share what I have learned with others.

In reading the above, some of it or all of it can help you find the answers you seek. In our lives, we crave more. More knowledge, more help, more answers, more meaning. We have been surrounded by charismatic gifts. - The word of knowledge - Increased faith - The gifts of miracles - the gift of healing - Prophecy - the discernment of Spirit (knowing something through the power of Spirit) - Speaking in tongues - interpretation on tongues. We all have talents and abilities. Acknowledging them can be difficult but through researching, asking and practicing them on a daily basis wonderful things unfold. The universe has so many wonderful things to teach us if we are teachable. We miss so much because of our busy lifestyles. Maybe it is time to slow down and observe the world, ourselves and others.

There are many tools, classes and books available to us. They will help you expand your thought process. They can instill life changing habits. The choice is always yours. If you are starting your spiritual journey; enlightenment will appear and show itself a bit at a time. The light within you will shine brighter than ever before and you will see things in yourself that you have not seen before.
